Note: If you are or have ever been a member of Glen Eira U3A, do not join again. Follow the instructions under “How do I enrol in courses and pay my 2026 membership fee”.

The first step to participating in any of our courses is to become a member by joining Glen Eira U3A. You can join online by:

1. Go to the membership system (link above) and click the Join link.
2. Fill in the online form and click submit.
3. After you have joined, your new member number will be displayed, and you will also receive a confirmation email with your login details. Remember to make a note of your password.
4. You can then login to the membership system using your member number or email address and your password.
5. After enrolling in at least one course (see below), you must pay your annual membership fee. Please note that the annual membership fee is not payable unless and until you enrol in a course.

1. If the member system is not already showing the login screen, click the Login link on the left side menu.
2. Click the appropriate link near the bottom of the screen:
   • Forgot password: Fill in the form (member number and surname) in order to receive a password reset email.
   • Forgot member number: Fill in the form in order to retrieve your member number (Note that if you know the email address we have for you and your password, login in with those details).
   • Forgot all login details: Fill in the form. An office volunteer will contact you and assist you to retrieve your details.

You can enrol in 2026 courses from 9.00am on Wednesday 14 January 2026. Do not log in before 9.00am; if you do, be sure to refresh your browser from 9.00am to ensure you are logged in correctly.

If you are unable to enrol online, there will be Assisted Enrolments at 1151 Glen Huntly Road from 9.00am on Wednesday 14 January on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that the gate will open at 7:30am.

Information about 2026 courses, including all dates, venues and course details, is available on our website, https://gleneirau3a.org.au/, under Courses & Activities or “The 2026 Course Catalogue is available here”.

Before enrolment day, do the following:

1. Check that you know your member number.
2. Check that you know your password.
3. Check that you can log in to the members website using either your member number or your email address and your password.
4. If you have forgotten your password, use this password reset link to reset it.

1. After enrolments open at 9:00am on Wednesday 14 January 2026, login to the membership system.
2. Click the Courses link in the left side menu.
3. Click on a course name to view details for that course: If you would like to enrol, click the Add to Cart button at the bottom of the course details.
4. When you have finished selecting courses, click the ‘Cart‘ link in the left side menu.
5. Check the list of courses in your cart, and if you want to proceed, click the Checkout button. You are not enrolled (or on the waitlist) until you Checkout.
6. After successful Checkout, your invoice will be displayed. If you have not already paid your membership fee for the current year, the invoice will include your membership fee. Please use one of the payment options listed on the invoice to make your payment.

Yes. All courses are filled on a first-come-first served basis. No preference is given to people who have been attending the courses in the past. You need to enrol in the course during or after enrolment day on Wednesday January 14, 2026.

Yes. All courses are filled on a first-come-first served basis. Waitlists are cleared at the end of the year and no preference is given to people who have been attending the course or who were on the waitlist in the past. You need to enrol in the course during or after enrolment day on Wednesday January 14, 2026.

Yes. From 9:00am on Wednesday 14 January to Wednesday 21 January, because of high demand and to give all members a chance to enrol in at least one of their preferred courses, enrolments are initially limited to a maximum of five courses, with no more than one from each of the categories of Art, Craft, Exercise, Games and each Language.

Beginning at 9.00am on Wednesday 21 January 2026 you can enrol in additional courses on a space-available basis.

Yes. Over time, many people on the Waitlist get into the course. This is because some members who start a course may find they can’t or don’t want to continue.

Note that for some courses (particularly languages) it may not be appropriate to join an existing waitlist. These ‘ongoing skills development’ courses are structured so that the class works through a curriculum over the course of the year. Joining such a class late in the semester places the newcomer at a disadvantage.

For some courses which are in high demand, we will initially offer enrolment for Semester 1 only. Any members still on the waitlist when enrolments open for Semester 2, will be given priority.

Most courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the course is full and you miss out on a place, you will be added to the waitlist.

Exceptions to this are courses which offer ongoing skills development or a minimum standard of proficiency (e.g. languages). In these courses you may be placed on a waitlist and the tutor will ultimately decide who is allocated a place.
